Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and autonomous practitioner to lead our perfusion services as a Senior Clinical Perfusionist. The successful candidate will provide clinical and professional perfusion services to our multi-disciplinary team, representing the Trust at external meetings and collaborating with the Head of Clinical Perfusion to ensure sufficient perfusion resource.

Main Duties
  • Communicate effectively within our Directorate management structure and provide expert advice to medical staff on equipment and device suitability.
  • Participate in clinical effectiveness activities, maintaining and fostering improvements in quality and standards of clinical services.
  • Assist the Directorate in meeting targets set out in the Trust's Clinical Governance Strategy and contribute to reporting processes.

Person Specification
  • Accredited Perfusionist registered with the Society of Perfusionists of Great Britain and Ireland.
  • Primary degree in a science-related subject and a post-graduate degree in perfusion science.
  • Competent in routine aspects of clinical perfusion, including intra-aortic balloon therapy.
