About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team and support a young woman with cerebral palsy. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in helping her to access opportunities and maximize her quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to the individual, including assistance with daily living tasks and mobility
  • Accompany the individual to community events and activities, such as cinema, bowling, and shopping
  • Support the individual in developing her day-to-day activities and goals
  • Work collaboratively with the individual's occupational therapist and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care
Requirements
  • Experience of supporting individuals with physical disabilities, particularly those with cerebral palsy
  • Ability to drive and have use of a car
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with individuals with complex needs
