A leading global food manufacturer is seeking a highly skilled Quality Technologist to join their Quality and Technical function in London.

This is a rare and exciting opportunity for a professional with a passion for quality assurance to make a real impact on the company's products and services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective implementation and maintenance of quality systems, developing comprehensive training programs for the QC team, and establishing a trending system for key quality parameters.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing KPI measures by shift, run, and period
  • Overseeing the follow-up of products on hold
  • Maintaining communication with relevant departments
  • Handling quality non-conformities through the system
  • Ensuring timely closure of corrective actions
  • Providing detailed reports to the Technical Manager
  • Reviewing and implementing specifications online
  • Collaborating with NPD for trial follow-ups
  • Working with the Quality Manager to execute a Product Quality Improvement Programme
  • Organising problem-solving sessions to address and enhance quality issues
  • Taking internal audits
  • Setting up a traceability system
  • Handling quality complaints
  • Conducting investigations
  • Working closely with QA and factory teams to implement a complaints reduction plan
  • Feeding back results to the Technical Manager for continuous improvement

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of experience working in a food safety role within food manufacturing
  • Hold a degree in a Food Science related degree
  • HACCP and Food Safety level 3 is advantageous but not essential
  • Good Excel skills is essential for this role
