We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in a mainstream primary school in Oldham and surrounding areas.

About the Role:

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with teachers and specialists to implement individualised education plans (IEPs) and support children in developing daily living skills for increased independence.

You will be responsible for building trusting relationships with pupils, communicating effectively with them, and collaborating with the teaching team to create an inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support children in developing daily living skills for increased independence
  • Collaborate with teachers and specialists to implement individualised education plans (IEPs)

Requirements:

  • The ability to handle complex and sensitive issues with empathy and understanding
  • The confidence to evaluate learning needs and actively seek new teaching methods
