Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Repairs Operations Manager to join our team at Ben Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our building maintenance operatives and ensuring that our repairs service is delivered efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Management
    • Coordinate and supervise building maintenance operatives to ensure the most cost-effective and economical use of resources.
    • Advise repairs managers on the level of resources required for individual jobs.
  • Quality Assurance
    • Ensure that all work is carried out within priority periods and to a high standard.
    • Pre-inspect work to identify work content, duration, and materials required.
  • Planning and Scheduling
    • Produce detailed schedules of works and specify requirements for the job.
    • Work with planners to ensure works are correctly appointed with adequate time allocation.
  • Health and Safety
    • Carry out site compliance inspections to ensure that equipment and personnel protective equipment are within their inspection dates.
    • Check that daily van checks have been carried out.
  • Contractor Management
    • Organize and control contractors engaged by the building maintenance department.
  • Reporting and Communication
    • Work with the repairs coordinator to report to area managers on post-inspection and health and safety inspection results.
    • Assist repairs business support with completed work queries.
  • Customer Service
    • Answer correspondence with respect to repairs and maintenance complaints and inquiries from tenants, leaseholders, and other stakeholders.
    • Attend council tenancy and public meetings to provide technical advice and recommendations.
