Job Title: Finance Risk Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Risk Specialist to join our team at Group Shared Services Ltd. As a key member of our finance function, you will play a critical role in identifying, assessing, and prioritizing financial risks across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and implementation of risk management strategies and action plans to ensure effective risk mitigation and control.
  • Monitor and report on key risk indicators and emerging risks to ensure timely identification and resolution.
  • Contribute to the design, delivery, and monitoring of internal finance performance and financial reporting controls to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Assist in the review and testing of internal controls to ensure their effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Develop and draft updates to financial policies and procedures to enhance control and mitigate risks.
  • Support the governance of finance data and reporting to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and quality.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders across the business to support the delivery of improvements in the financial and operating control environment.
  • Provide support to departments on the management and resolution of risk and control issues.

Requirements:

  • Some experience in financial risk management, internal controls, audit, or a related area is desirable.
  • Understanding of risk management principles and internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO) is essential.
  • Understanding of accounting and auditing standards is required.
  • Knowledge of financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is beneficial.
  • Skilled user of core Microsoft packages is necessary.
  • Experience and understanding of information flows, data structures, and business intelligence principles are desirable.
  • Experience within a multinational corporation or financial services firm is advantageous.
  • Ability to identify and address key risks/implications associated with any activities is essential.
