About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Sustainability Consultant to join our team at Hoare Lea. As a Graduate Sustainability Consultant, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, collaborating with industry experts and contributing to the development of innovative sustainability solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake building performance simulation and energy-related workstreams, utilizing various modeling approaches, tools, and techniques.
  • Develop energy strategies with clients to drive sustainability innovation on various developments.
  • Support the creation of holistic Sustainability Strategies, as needed.
  • Assist in the delivery of environmental assessments (such as BREEAM, WELL, HQM, etc.) from early design stages through to completion.
  • Develop an understanding and knowledge of whole life carbon reporting to support clients' Net Zero Carbon strategies.
  • Communicate and engage with clients, design teams, and contractors on projects, with opportunities to visit sites during construction phases.
Requirements
  • Educated to degree level in Engineering, Architecture, or the Built Environment.
  • Proficiency in BREEAM, WELL, and Whole Life Carbon.
  • Appreciation of broader sustainability issues, such as sustainability governance and reporting, sustainability strategies, climate change adaptation, behavior change, etc.
About You
  • Experience working within the built environment sector.
  • Already working within a sustainability or engineering consultancy, you will be looking for a new challenge within a practice at the forefront of our field.
  • You will bring expertise (with a degree in engineering/science, and experience in the field) and a passion for creating sustainable solutions.
  • You will have good communication skills and an enthusiasm for working within a team environment.
