The University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Head of Cost Improvement Programme Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and contribute to the development and implementation of cost improvement initiatives that drive financial sustainability and quality improvement across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of cost improvement programmes across the organization, working closely with senior leaders and clinical teams to identify and prioritize opportunities for cost reduction and quality improvement.
- Collaborate with finance, operational, and clinical teams to analyze data, identify trends, and develop recommendations for cost improvement initiatives.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including senior leaders, clinical teams, and external partners, to ensure effective communication and collaboration on cost improvement initiatives.
- Provide strategic leadership and guidance to the Cost Improvement Team, ensuring that they have the necessary resources, support, and expertise to deliver high-quality cost improvement initiatives.
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to track progress and ensure accountability for cost improvement initiatives.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure that cost improvement initiatives are aligned with the latest standards and guidelines.
Requirements
- Master's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field, such as business administration, finance, or healthcare management.
- Proven experience in cost improvement, financial management, and leadership roles, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop recommendations for cost improvement initiatives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior leaders, clinical teams, and external partners.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve high-quality results.
