About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Avionics Capability Lead to join our team at QinetiQ Limited. As a key leader for our engineering and project teams, you will be responsible for ensuring the Aviation Engineering Centre (AEC) fulfils optimum capability performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance and oversight across the AEC Project Delivery Teams to ensure standards and safe delivery of avionics, communication and aircraft electrical systems.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with the Project Management Office (PMO) functions, providing guidance to ensure safe and compliant delivery of Avionic project outputs.
  • Participate in robust change management throughout the project lifecycle, maintaining compliance with CAA/MAA regulatory obligations.
Requirements
  • Exceptional leadership qualities, with extensive experience operating in a senior engineering leadership role.
  • Proven leadership of avionic design engineers throughout the project lifecycle, including verification, validation, test and customer acceptance phases of aircraft modification projects.
  • Recognised as a subject matter expert in the field of avionics, aircraft electrical and communication system design.
