About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Financial Systems Analyst to join our Finance Systems Team at the Wellcome Sanger Institute.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Enhancement: Lead improvements in our forecasting system to enhance financial and forecasting capabilities.
  • Business Cycle Readiness: Ensure the finance and forecasting systems are ready for important business cycles, ensuring seamless operations.
  • System Administration: Daily management of financial and forecasting systems, ensuring stability and efficiency.
  • Guideline Development: Create and maintain system guidelines to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Configuration Management: Collaborate with the team on configuration changes to ensure system integrity.
  • Help-Desk Support: Provide technical support to users, ensuring they have the necessary tools to perform their duties.
  • System Compliance: Ensure the finance and forecasting systems comply with company policies and procedures.
  • User Training: Conduct training sessions for new users to ensure they understand the systems and their roles.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for system enhancement, ensuring the finance and forecasting systems remain up-to-date and efficient.

Essential Skills:

  • Experience in Financial Budgeting and Planning systems.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Experience with finance systems such as UBW.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to drive and manage change.
  • Effective relationship building.
