About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced pharmacist to join our team as a Senior Clinical Trials Pharmacist. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and forward-thinking environment, where you will play a key role in supporting the Research and Development team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and facilitate pharmacy aspects of clinical trials, including pre-site selection visits, site initiation visits, monitoring, and close-out visits.
  • Be the first point of contact for research trial sponsors and Contract Research Organisations (CROs).
  • Oversee and manage pharmacy-related clinical trials income.
  • Work with the Research and Development Unit (RDU) and medical colleagues to identify areas of research priorities in respect of Clinical Trials of Investigational Medicinal Products (CTIMPs) and other related trials.
  • Contribute to the assessment and feasibility of delivery of clinical trials within Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Foundation Trust.
  • Attend local and regional pharmacy research networks.

Person Specification

  • Significant post-registration experience in clinical trials.
  • Evidence-based practice.
  • Knowledge of the Medicines for Human Use (Clinical Trials) Regulations.
  • Interest in clinical trials and mental health.
  • Awareness of best practice and clinical guidelines.

Qualifications

  • MPharm.
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy.
  • Good Clinical Practice (GCP).

Desirable Qualifications

  • Certificate in Psychiatry.
  • Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
