Job Summary:

The Production Operator I is a key member of the H.B. Fuller team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of production processes. This role involves working closely with the Production Manager/Supervisor to maintain high-quality products and meet customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare raw materials and packaging for production, ensuring accurate quantities and timely delivery.
  • Operate processing equipment in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
  • Monitor equipment performance, maintaining optimal run rates and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Conduct initial testing and release of products to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Verify labels and packaging materials, adhering to company standards and regulations.
  • Pack final products in accordance with instructions and quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to company EHS rules and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Manager/Supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Basic educational degree or High School diploma or general education diploma.
  • No prior experience required.
  • Knowledge of common software programs (MS Office).
  • Ability to read and understand work orders, production processes, safety regulations, and quality procedures.
  • Availability to work in shifts.

Preferred Requirements:

  • 1 year of experience in an industrial environment.
  • Understanding of basic English.

Physical Environment:

  • Required to stand for long periods.
  • Walk and climb stairs.
  • Use hands to remove or lift boxes.
  • Stretch and reach with arms extended.
  • Stoop and bend.
  • Regularly lift up to 50 pounds and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Temperature, dust, smell, and noise are under normal chemical environment conditions.
