About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join our team at BDO UK. As a key member of our audit team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients across various sectors, including charities, housing, and education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of clients, providing assistance to Partners on client work and team management.
  • Play a significant role in the delivery of BDO's national Not-for-Profit strategy, including growth plans.
  • Act as a major point of contact within the firm, responding to requests and keeping stakeholders informed of progress.
  • Ensure assignments are completed within agreed budgets and timescales, identifying opportunities for additional billings.
  • Recruit, retain, develop, and motivate employees, including participating in graduate recruitment and ensuring job appraisal documentation is completed within deadlines.
  • Work as part of a management team to achieve efficiency gains and participate in office marketing events.
Requirements
  • ACA/ICAS qualified or overseas equivalent.
  • Previous experience of managing people.
  • Good working knowledge of UK and International GAAS, IFRS, UK GAAP, and Financial Reporting requirements.
  • Experience of systems/controls testing, substantive auditing, and project management.
