Job Overview

The Learning for Life Trust is seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Senior Teaching Assistant to join our team at Fairfield Primary School. This is a temporary position, linked to a period of Maternity Leave, and will provide an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to make a positive impact on the lives of our students.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality support to children in our setting, working closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for our students. This will include:

• Providing one-to-one and small-group support to pupils in class and in interventions

• Assisting with the planning and delivery of lessons, including preparing resources and materials

• Supporting the development of positive relationships with children, adults, and parents/guardians

• Contributing to the creation of a safe and inclusive learning environment

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

• A good working knowledge of the principles of the Primary Curriculum

• Experience of working with children across the primary phase, including Key Stage 1 and 2

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to form positive relationships with children, adults, and parents/guardians

• A commitment to working in the outdoor classroom and contributing to the development of a positive and inclusive learning environment
