Job Title: Merchandiser

Quest Search and Selection Ltd is currently recruiting for a Merchandiser to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving department strategy, managing Open-to-Buy, and working closely with the Buyer to construct commercial ranges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement department strategies to achieve targeted sales, stock turn, markdown, and profit goals.
  • Work closely with the Buyer to create commercial ranges and manage in-season Open-to-Buy.
  • Manage Terminal Stocks to keep within budgeted levels through effective range planning and markdown control.
  • Monitor commitment and Intake with suppliers, and work closely with them to minimize lead times, create flexibility, and improve availability.
  • Train, motivate, and develop Junior/Assistant Merchandisers and Merchandise Administrators.
Requirements:
  • Operating at a Merchandiser or Junior Merchandiser level.
  • Ideal candidate has come from a fashion background, but open to different retail sectors.
  • Proven self-starter with excellent knowledge of forecasting principles.
  • Experience in driving department or company strategy and leading a team.
  • Management experience or leading an AM or above candidate.
  • Strong stakeholder experience.
