About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing site in Great Yarmouth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the daily operations of a dynamic manufacturing site, responding to maintenance, breakdowns, and project work.
  • Build asset care plans and TPM schedules based on equipment and manufacturer recommendations.
  • Work closely with the Maintenance Manager, Production Manager, Quality Manager, Process Engineers, and Production Ops to drive world-class manufacturing and plant maintenance.
  • Present at all levels, electronically and verbally, to communicate maintenance plans and progress.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and effectively fault-find on critical production equipment.
  • Plan and carry out repair, improvement, and preventative maintenance work on all production equipment.
  • Supervise subcontractor activities as needed and ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental Policy requirements.
  • Log and document reactive and planned maintenance tasks effectively.
  • Support Planned Maintenance activities during production shutdown periods.
  • Develop and update maintenance and equipment procedures.
  • Maintain and coordinate all asset documentation.

Requirements

  • Qualification in Electrical Engineering with mechanical and/or process engineering knowledge.
  • Full exposure to maintenance, breakdowns, repairs, and mechanical engineering.
  • Driven, confident, and have a CAN DO demeanor.
  • Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
  • Fault-finding skills.
  • AutoCAD knowledge is a plus.
  • Minimum ONC or fully apprenticeship-trained with sufficient on-site experience.
