Transport Planner Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Transport Planner to contribute to our team's success in the United Kingdom. As a Transport Planner, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing transportation plans and strategies for various civil engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain accurate and comprehensive transportation plans, including travel plans, site access appraisals, and transport notes.
  2. Stay up-to-date with relevant local and national policy and guidance to ensure compliance and best practices.
  3. Utilize ARCADY and PICADY for junction capacity modeling and LinSig for traffic signal design.
  4. Conduct preliminary design of access, junction improvements, and highway schemes using AutoCAD.
  5. Perform swept path analysis using AutoTrack and create high-quality graphics using GIS packages or Corel Draw.
  6. Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
  7. Prepare client briefs and fee proposals for submission and contribute to company-wide bids and frameworks.
  8. Work towards business targets and contribute to the growth and success of the company.

Candidate Profile:

  1. Hold a formal education in Transport Engineering, Geography, or Transport Planning.
  2. Have experience in development-focused Transport Planning.
  3. Be a member or seeking membership of a professional organization.
  4. Exhibit excellent communication skills and a high standard of work ethic.
  5. Demonstrate accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work proactively and use initiative.

Salary and Benefits:

£40,000 to £50,000 Per Annum
