East Lothian Council is seeking an experienced Early Years Practitioner to join our team as a Child Development Specialist. This is a 52-week non-sessional post, requiring flexibility to work during school holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality child-centered services that meet the needs of children and their families.
- Work collaboratively as an effective member of the early years team to achieve service goals.
- Develop and implement strategies to promote child development and well-being.
- Contribute to the development and review of policies and procedures related to early years services.
Requirements
- Relevant qualifications and experience in early years education or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexibly and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of child development theories and practices.
Working Arrangements
- Monday & Tuesday: 08:00-16:45
- Wednesday: 08:45-15:15
- Thursday: 10:00-16:45
- Friday: 08:45-15:30
