Vacancy Overview

East Lothian Council is seeking an experienced Early Years Practitioner to join our team as a Child Development Specialist. This is a 52-week non-sessional post, requiring flexibility to work during school holidays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality child-centered services that meet the needs of children and their families.
  • Work collaboratively as an effective member of the early years team to achieve service goals.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote child development and well-being.
  • Contribute to the development and review of policies and procedures related to early years services.

Requirements

  • Relevant qualifications and experience in early years education or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of child development theories and practices.

Working Arrangements

  • Monday & Tuesday: 08:00-16:45
  • Wednesday: 08:45-15:15
  • Thursday: 10:00-16:45
  • Friday: 08:45-15:30
