St Basils is seeking a skilled and compassionate Homeless Prevention Worker to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting young people at risk of homelessness.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality information, advice, and signposting to young people in need.
- Process and triage referrals from various sources, ensuring timely and effective support.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify housing and support needs, and develop personalized plans to prevent homelessness.
- Work closely with young people, their families, and external agencies to ensure seamless support and advocacy.
- Maintain accurate and professional case records, ensuring data integrity and compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to provide a holistic response to young people's housing and support needs.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with young people, their families, and external stakeholders.
- GCSE English and Maths (C grade or above) or equivalent.
- Essential experience working with young people in a similar setting, delivering frontline triage or assessment services.
- Knowledge of housing rights, welfare reform, and relevant legislation.
- Commitment to anti-discriminatory practice and ability to work with diverse groups.
- NVQ 3 Advice and Guidance, Health and Social Care, or equivalent.
- Housing qualification or experience.
- Ability to work with figures and maintain high standards.
