Company Overview
At Spencer Ogden, we are at the forefront of renewable energy development, partnering with landowners and local communities to enhance clean energy production throughout the UK. With an expanding portfolio of projects supporting 11GW of connections, we are seeking to bolster our team to facilitate this growth.
We are in search of a Project Manager to become an integral part of our Project Management Team, overseeing the development and execution of renewable energy initiatives, including ground-mounted Solar, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and Wind Energy projects.
The ideal candidate will be self-driven, proactive, and possess excellent communication skills, capable of fostering trusted relationships across all organizational levels. A keen interest and understanding of renewable energy, coupled with a passion for leading and executing projects in partnership with Land Managers, is essential.
Key Responsibilities
The Project Manager will play a pivotal role in delivering a diverse and dynamic array of projects. Working closely with Land Managers, Grid Connection Managers, and the Planning Manager, you will coordinate efforts across all business functions to ensure timely project delivery in accordance with the project program.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Manage a portfolio of projects, collaborating with various business functions to ensure adherence to program milestones.
- Maintain and oversee the Risk Register, documenting actions and tracking mitigation strategies.
- Supervise project budget management, ensuring expenditures align with approved financial plans.
- Present project summaries to key stakeholders at senior levels.
- Oversee Due Diligence processes, working with the project team to mitigate risks in line with the program and budget.
- Regularly update and monitor the project action log.
- Coordinate all aspects of design development for Design Assurance.
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with the Construction team.
- Manage and update modeling inputs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead project meetings and reviews with the project team.
- Prepare Gate Papers by compiling information from the project team to influence stakeholders and support investment decisions.
- Manage the HSE file, ensuring actions and decisions comply with CDM best practices.
- Collaborate across all business areas, emphasizing relationship building and working towards shared objectives.
