About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at JD Group. As a key member of our retail management team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a high-performing team to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Support the Store Manager in leading and motivating a high-performing team to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Customer Service: Create a culture of exceptional customer service, ensuring that our store teams exceed customer expectations and build strong relationships with our customers.
  • Store Operations: Develop and implement effective store operations to ensure a safe and compliant working environment for all colleagues and customers.
  • Financial Performance: Deliver financial results in line with or in excess of company targets, including sales growth, profit margins, and inventory management.
  • Development and Training: Develop and implement training programs to support the growth and development of store teams, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: At least 2 years of management experience in a retail environment, preferably in a similar format to JD Group.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, listening, and written communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Business Acumen: Strong business acumen, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
  • Customer Focus: A passion for customer service and a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Leadership Behaviours: Demonstrates leadership behaviours such as a plan-do-review mindset, confident decision-making, and a commitment to developing teams.
