About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Surface Modeler to join our team at Recruitment Bunker. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality digital models for our automotive clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with designers to create digital models from 2D sketches, scan data, and sections
  • Utilize digital tools such as Alias and Sub D to deliver surface data with speed and accuracy
  • Collate and exchange data for digital model assembly, prototyping, and feasibility
  • Deliver data to downstream departments and assist with data transfer and development
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in automotive OEM or consultancy, with at least 2 production programs delivered
  • Understanding of industry standards for automotive surfacing and ability to deliver design intent with sensitivity to proportion, surface, and detailing
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Alias and knowledge of delivering quick, quality surfaces on specific needs
  • Ability to understand functional and feasibility requirements to iterate and deliver design intent in the digital model
  • Decisive, dynamic, proactive, and assertive qualities
  • IT literate – Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Catia, Blender, Maya, and other 3D modeling tools
  • Degree or Diploma in Digital Modeling/Product Design/Transportation Design
