Financial Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Manager to join our dynamic Financial Management Team at Coventry City Council. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing strategic financial support and advice to enable effective financial planning and management.
As a Financial Manager, you will be responsible for developing and interpreting complex financial models to inform financial analysis and presenting a compelling rationale for recommended options in the form of reports and presentations. You will also think innovatively and proactively support policy options and practical solutions that deliver the Council's priorities and enable financial targets to be met.
We are looking for a fully qualified Chartered Accountant (CCAB or CIMA) with experience of working in a challenging financial environment. You will have a strong understanding of financial management principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with internal officers and external partners to ensure finance is at the heart of everything that the Council does.
