Position Overview

Hourly Rate: £23 per hour (umbrella)

Role Responsibilities

The primary objective of this role is to evaluate and proactively oversee a portfolio of housing applications from individuals facing significant challenges, including but not limited to overcrowding, under-occupation, vulnerability, health issues, age-related concerns, or other specific needs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing comprehensive support to high-need housing applicants by exploring various housing alternatives, including private sector options and social housing opportunities in different regions.
  • Facilitating mutual exchange applications for current social housing tenants who require relocation.
  • Developing tailored re-housing strategies to enhance the service delivery to these applicants, collaborating closely with advocates and other professionals involved in their support.
  • Conducting home assessments to thoroughly understand individual circumstances and to offer the most suitable housing options and guidance regarding re-housing prospects.
Required Knowledge and Skills

Applicants should possess a solid understanding of the legislative and policy framework governing the lettings service, particularly the relevant sections of the Housing Act. Familiarity with housing options is essential.
