Job Overview
The primary objective of this role is to install fire detection and alarm systems. Candidates with additional skills in door access, CCTV, and intruder alarm systems will be considered favorably.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install both conventional and analogue addressable fire alarm systems to a high standard.
  • Perform installations of intruder, access control, and CCTV systems, ensuring quality workmanship (beneficial).
  • Execute small works for various life safety systems.
  • Understand and comply with regulatory, fair trading, and competition rules relevant to the role, seeking specialist support when necessary.
  • Support company policies and best practices in security, particularly in protecting sensitive customer information.
  • Implement and adhere to the organization's information security policies.
  • Safeguard assets from unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, destruction, or interference.
  • Carry out specific security processes or activities as directed by management.
  • Report security incidents or potential risks to the organization.
  • Comprehend client needs and fulfill all job requirements effectively.

Essential Qualifications
  • Strong background and expertise in fire security.
  • Willingness to travel for work as needed.
  • Exceptional first-time resolution and risk management abilities.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • Proven experience in fire engineering.
  • Experience in service and repair work.
  • Familiarity with conventional and addressable fire systems across various manufacturers.
  • Adherence to good installation practices.
  • Knowledge of integrating detection systems with other disciplines is advantageous.
  • Understanding of BS5839 standards is essential.
  • Possession of a full driving license.
  • FIA commissioning accreditations.

Preferred Qualifications
  • FIA Modules: FD & A Advanced Installer, FD & A Advanced Designer.

Desirable Skills
  • Experience with VESDA and other aspirating manufacturers.
  • Electrical background.
