Senior Manufacturing Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Workforce Staffing Ltd. As a key member of our engineering department, you will play a crucial role in delivering solutions for our customers' complex manufacturing challenges.

About the Role

As Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for directing best methods of manufacture and delivering technical engineering support to both production and quality teams. You will also lead internal facing engineering to deliver continued growth to the business, targeting areas of improvement using both personal experience and research bolstered by a LEAN approach.

Key Responsibilities
  • Directing manufacturing activities to ensure efficient and effective production processes
  • Providing technical engineering support to production and quality teams
  • Leading internal facing engineering to deliver continued growth to the business
  • Targeting areas of improvement using LEAN principles and personal experience
  • Supporting new business development and customer interaction
  • Leading NPI project support and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Several years' experience in a senior manufacturing engineering or supervisory role
  • Experience of CNC machining in a precision engineering environment
  • High level of CNC programming competency in Fanuc Heidenhain languages
  • Programming experience in turning and milling capabilities, ideally up to 5 axis (3+2)
  • Strong knowledge of setting, operating, and programming
  • 3D modelling skills, preferably with SolidWorks and Visi
  • Offline programming experience, familiarity with VISI CAM package highly desired
  • GD&T and drawing standards knowledge
  • Technical specifications on materials, metrology, surface treatments, and hardness methods
