About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Galliford Try. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our educational and community buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned, reactive, and additional works to maintain the condition of our buildings, including minor repairs, fault finding, and diagnoses.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and building plans to inform your work.
  • Inspect reported defects, compile detailed reports, and communicate findings to our Customer Service Team.
  • Liaise with team members and subcontractors to ensure timely completion of works and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Update all tasks in a timely manner, ensuring accurate records and efficient workflow.

About You:

  • Minimum years' experience in a building services role, with a strong understanding of maintenance operations.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Time served apprentice or equivalent training in a relevant trade.
  • Previous experience of working within a team environment, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work requirements.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts.
  • Desirable qualifications include PASMA and IPAF certifications.
  • Essential requirement: complete an acceptable Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
  • Full UK driving license, with a clean driving record.
