We are currently seeking experienced Digital Manufacturing/Automation Engineers (3+ years of experience) to manage and lead technical activities on digital manufacturing and automation projects. This is a full-time staff position based in our Chesterfield office, with an excellent salary and benefits package.
Key Responsibilities:- Assuming technical lead role on digital manufacturing/automation projects, including leading design, test, and integration activities.
- Working with a team of digital manufacturing/automation engineers delivering projects to customer sites.
- Developing engineering design documents, technical evaluations, and test plans for cGMP process equipment and following GAMP 5 guidelines.
- Providing design and approval for hardware, software, and controls for automated and manufacturing execution systems (MES).
- Working closely with customers to identify areas for improvement through the use of automation and data analytics technology.
- Providing technical and automation operational support to Engineering, Manufacturing, Validation and Facilities departments.
- Co-ordinating and supporting project commissioning activities.
- Mentoring and training of junior engineers.
- Researching new technologies and trends in Industrial Automation and liaising with senior management on digital manufacturing/automation business strategy.
- Experienced digital manufacturing/automation engineer with 3+ years' experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering/ Instrumentation/ Information Systems or related field.
- PLC Programming Experience: Allen-Bradley PLCs / Siemens TIA Portal.
- Experience with control networks and communications systems (Profibus, Modbus, DeviceNet).
- Experience working with validated Digital Manufacturing/Automation systems in the Pharmaceutical or Food Beverage manufacturing environment.
