Corporate Transformation is a new Directorate within The Scottish Government, dedicated to enhancing the organization's capacity and capability for driving transformational change across the public sector. We are focused on shaping and delivering impactful projects and programs that contribute to Scotland's overall development.
The Automation Team
Our newly formed Automation Team is at the forefront of implementing Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and AI-powered solutions. We are seeking a talented Lead Automation Developer to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in this exciting journey.
Lead Automation Developer Responsibilities- Strategic Leadership: Guide the team in identifying automation opportunities, employing process optimization techniques, and leveraging LEAN/agile methodologies. Ensure a focus on quality and effective risk management throughout the automation lifecycle.
- Technical Expertise: Oversee the design, development, testing, and deployment of automation solutions. Define process and technical solutions, prototype digital components, and collaborate with stakeholders at every stage of the project.
- Problem Solving & Innovation: Identify and manage obstacles to ensure smooth project execution. Continuously seek ways to improve system robustness, resilience, and stability.
- Quality Assurance & Governance: Define control mechanisms for managing issues, change requests, and the overall production environment. Work with the technical architect and senior management to formulate long-term development strategies and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Team Collaboration & Mentorship: Foster a collaborative team environment and provide guidance and mentorship to team members.
