Position: Apprenticeship Quality Assurance Manager

Location: Bedford or Tresham Campus

Compensation/Benefits: Starting salary from £38,541 depending on experience and qualifications, along with 35 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, participation in the Teachers' pension scheme, discounts in retail and leisure, and outstanding opportunities for professional and personal development, including access to college courses.

Work Schedule: 37 hours per week (1.0 FTE)

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Apprenticeship Quality Assurance Manager to join our Quality and Professional Development Department. In this managerial role, you will be essential to the college's success by:

  • Executing a variety of quality initiatives, systems, and processes in collaboration with the Group Director of Quality Assurance to enhance the apprentice experience consistently.
  • Evaluating, monitoring, and auditing procedures and systems to ensure effective and consistent implementation aimed at continuous improvement.
  • Spearheading new quality initiatives designed to elevate standards across all apprenticeship offerings.
  • Leading and supporting the Apprenticeship Team and Curriculum Departments in all facets of quality assurance.
  • Assisting the Quality Department in promoting quality enhancement and effective learning, teaching, and assessment throughout the Group in apprenticeships.

Candidate Profile:

  • Strong educational background, including Mathematics and English.
  • Certificate in Education/PGCE or equivalent qualification.
  • Degree or comparable professional qualification.
  • Demonstrated management experience in Further Education (FE) and apprenticeship programs.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality apprenticeship learning experiences across various delivery environments.
  • Experience in monitoring and enhancing apprenticeship progress.
  • Evidence of promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion within the role.
  • Experience in coordinating quality improvement and development across apprenticeships with a uniform approach.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with staff at all levels internally and externally, sharing information and influencing quality improvement efforts.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines, working independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel to various campus locations for meetings, events, and training.
