Role: Senior VAT Consultant
Location: Thames Valley
Crowe UK has established a national VAT & Customs Duty team comprising nearly 40 professionals and has experienced a period of consistent growth and success in recent years.
An exciting opportunity has emerged in our Thames Valley office for a seasoned UK VAT expert who will relish a diverse role serving as a trusted advisor to a varied client portfolio in the local area. We welcome applications from candidates at both Manager and Senior Manager levels.
The selected candidate will serve as a senior VAT authority within the Thames Valley office, collaborating with VAT unit partners and local office partners to enhance VAT services and client relationships in the region.
Support will be provided by a pre-manager level VAT specialist, for whom the candidate will have managerial responsibilities, alongside the broader partners and staff within the national VAT unit.
There exists a pathway for advancement to director and partnership for the right individual.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Comprehensive knowledge of UK VAT, capable of advising on corporate VAT issues.
- The Thames Valley client base encompasses sectors such as property & construction, retail, manufacturing, and technology & media, offering a diverse portfolio.
- A client-facing role necessitating the establishment and maintenance of trusted client relationships.
- Providing VAT technical support to other service lines within Crowe, including our outsourced tax and accounting services.
- A focus on marketing and business development to elevate the visibility of both Crowe and our VAT services in the external market, involving both regional and national initiatives.
- Development and leadership capabilities, with management responsibilities for one junior staff member, and potential future recruitment as the local VAT business expands in alignment with our strategic goals.
