2-3 days in the office
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee the evaluation of UK VAT compliance, including the preparation of quarterly VAT returns, ensuring full accountability for the review process and timely submission to the relevant authorities.
Manage the assessment of VAT balance sheet accounts, ensuring discrepancies are thoroughly investigated and necessary accounting actions are executed.
Supervise the examination of VAT journals.Address VAT inquiries from various departments.
Conduct reviews of contractual agreements.
Lead VAT-related projects and initiatives.
Draft correspondence for tax authorities concerning VAT matters.
Handle and resolve inquiries from tax authorities.
Identify and implement enhancements to existing processes.
Provide assistance to the Head of Tax in advising the organization on the VAT implications of new business initiatives.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Essential Qualifications:
Qualified (CTA/ACA or equivalent)
Minimum of 6 years of experience in VAT compliance
Strong attention to detail
Excellent analytical capabilities
Proficient in Excel
Solid accounting knowledge
Self-driven and motivated
Exceptional communication skills
Enthusiastic and proactive approach
Desirable Qualifications:
Knowledge and experience in employment tax
Understanding of corporation tax
