Overview: A leading consultancy in the water sector is seeking a Principal Water Resources Consultant to join their team. This role is based in London and offers a dynamic work environment.

Qualifications: Candidates should possess a BSc or MSc in relevant fields such as Geography, Environmental Science, or Environmental Management. Experience in areas such as Water Supply, Water Resource Assessments, Water Resource Planning, and Drought Management is essential.

Experience: Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in business cost modeling and project management, including team leadership capabilities. A valid driving license is necessary for site visits and office attendance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the development and execution of Water Resource and Drought Planning strategies, ensuring adherence to regulations.
  2. Evaluate and track the effectiveness of water resource management initiatives.
  3. Lead the execution of drought management plans and assess their performance.
  4. Conduct audits and perform annual evaluations of strategic plans.
  5. Ensure alignment of water resource planning with broader catchment and water network strategies.
  6. Execute Water Supply Risk Assessments.
  7. Foster relationships with stakeholders and external organizations.

Work Environment: This position allows for a hybrid work arrangement, offering the flexibility of working from home up to two days a week.
