Position Overview: A prominent consultancy specializing in water management is seeking a highly skilled Water Resources Consultant. This role is pivotal in shaping water resource strategies and ensuring sustainable practices.

Qualifications: Candidates should possess a BSc or MSc in relevant fields such as Geography, Environmental Science, or Environmental Management. A strong background in Water Supply, Water Resource Assessments, Water Resource Planning, and Drought Management is essential.

Experience: Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in business cost modeling and project management, including team leadership capabilities. A valid driving license is required for site visits and office attendance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the development and execution of Water Resource and Drought Planning strategies, ensuring adherence to regulations.
  2. Evaluate and oversee the effectiveness of water resource management plans.
  3. Direct the implementation of drought response plans and assess their performance.
  4. Conduct audits and annual evaluations of strategic initiatives.
  5. Align water resource planning with broader catchment and water network strategies.
  6. Perform comprehensive Water Supply Risk Assessments.
  7. Foster relationships with stakeholders and external organizations.
