We are seeking a highly skilled Network Infrastructure Specialist to join our global infrastructure team at Qube Research & Technologies Limited. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our network infrastructure and automations, ensuring the high availability of our network services and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Incident Management: Monitor and resolve incidents across Low Latency LAN, Datacentre LAN, WAN transit, and Internet/cloud connectivity.
  2. Network Troubleshooting: Expertly troubleshoot network infrastructure and collaborate with vendor support teams to perform deep investigations.
  3. Monitoring and Dashboards: Develop and maintain monitoring dashboards, responding proactively to alerts with the appropriate level of priority.
  4. Automation and Delivery: Deliver BAU changes through automation wherever possible, working collaboratively with research and other infrastructure engineering teams.
  5. Trend Analysis: Perform trend analysis using various data sources to identify potential issues, improve correlation, and find capacity concerns.
  6. SLOs and Availability: Define SLOs to ensure the high availability of network services and infrastructure.
  7. Network Automation: Provide support for network automation and associated tooling, including CI/CD pipelines, orchestration, Ansible, Python, and GitOps practices.
  8. Release Management: Be responsible for releasing into production environments by providing high-quality reviews of merges and scheduled pushes of changes/features/capabilities.
  9. Infrastructure Monitoring: Have good knowledge of infrastructure metric collection and visualization tooling, such as Kibana, Splunk, Prometheus, and Grafana.
  10. Networking Expertise: Possess clear networking knowledge at Cisco CCNP level, either through demonstrable experience or verifiable qualifications.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure and automation
  • Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting tools
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation tooling
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
