Education and SEN Lawyer Role

Sellick Partnership is pleased to be recruiting for a newly created post for an Education and SEN Lawyer role at Barnsley Council.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Handling a caseload of SEND matters, including drafting local authority responses, position statements, and collating final evidence.
  • Chairing legal planning and pre-hearing meetings to ensure effective case management.
  • Providing general education law advice to client departments and schools, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Legal Executive with experience in education law and SEN matters.
