We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our team at Academics Ltd. As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with special educational needs and mental health requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist the class teacher in providing a tailored learning experience for students with SEMH needs
- Provide behaviour and pastoral support to students, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Collaborate with therapists to develop and implement effective interventions to boost student learning, development, and well-being
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive team
- Contribute to the development of individualized education plans and progress monitoring
- Experience working with children with SEMH needs and a desire to make a positive impact
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude, with a proactive approach to supporting students
- Ability to work 1:1 and in small groups with students, ensuring their safeguarding and well-being
- Comprehensive training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge
