Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Geo-Environmental Consultant to join our team at Lucion. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide specialist consultancy services, including site investigations, environmental assessments, and remediation strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough site investigations, including soil, groundwater, and gas monitoring, to identify potential environmental risks.
  • Develop and implement effective environmental management plans and mitigation measures to minimize project impacts.
  • Liaise with clients, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met and regulatory compliance is maintained.
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring projects are completed to a high standard, on time, and within budget.
  • Support junior staff through mentoring and knowledge sharing, contributing to their professional development and growth within the company.
  • Stay current with industry standards, legislation, and best practices in geo-environmental consultancy, ensuring our services remain at the forefront of the industry.
Requirements
  • A degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in geo-environmental consultancy, with a strong understanding of UK environmental regulations and standards.
  • Proven experience in conducting and managing site investigations, risk assessments, and remediation projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide clear, concise recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present information clearly and effectively to a range of audiences.
  • Proficiency in relevant software, including HoleBASE, ArcGIS, and QGIS.
  • A full UK driving license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
