Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bank Staff Member to join our team at Bright Horizons Broadgate Day Nursery and Preschool. As a Bank Staff Member, you will play a vital role in supporting our nursery colleagues in delivering high-quality care and education to our children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support nursery colleagues in delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, engaging children in entertaining and educational play and activities.
  • Supervise children throughout the day, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Work as part of a larger team to ensure all essential day-to-day tasks are completed, including hygiene standards and room preparation.
  • Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety, and safeguarding procedures and policies are followed at all times.
  • Contribute to maintaining a positive, happy, and safe environment on a day-to-day basis.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in a nursery or similar setting.
  • A passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child.
  • The ability to use a variety of techniques to clearly and successfully communicate with both children and adults.
  • A sound understanding of child protection and the safeguarding of children.
  • The ability to be flexible and adaptable, embracing working cultures in different nurseries.
  • A flexible approach to working hours, supporting nurseries within a pre-agreed radius of your home address.

This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
