Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Orthopaedic Surgeon to join our Transformation Unit as a Consultant. The successful candidate will have a strong background in lower limb surgery, with a particular interest in primary and revision arthroplasty and trauma surgery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct complex orthopaedic surgeries, including primary and revision arthroplasty and trauma surgery
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with lower limb conditions
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives to advance orthopaedic care
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols
Requirements
  • Basic Medical Degree (e.g. MBBS)
  • FRCS T&O or equivalent
  • Entry on the GMC Specialist Register via: CCT (Proposed CCT date must be within 6 months of interview), European Community Rights or CESR, Evidence of Higher Specialist Training in Trauma & Orthopaedics (or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from date of interview), Fellowship level training in Arthroplasty and Trauma
  • Interest in robotic surgery
