About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Loungers. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef in delivering exceptional food quality and service standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the kitchen team to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Develop and implement menus, recipes, and kitchen procedures to maintain high standards
  • Manage kitchen inventory, ordering, and stock control to minimize waste and optimize efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and company policies
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to plan and execute special events, promotions, and menu launches
  • Recruit, train, and develop kitchen staff to achieve high performance and retention

Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent role in a high-volume kitchen environment
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Knowledge of kitchen operations, including menu planning, inventory management, and food safety
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a high level of attention to detail
