Job Overview

Dechra is a leading global specialist in veterinary pharmaceuticals, and we're seeking a skilled Packer to join our team. As a Packer, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe use of machinery and equipment, while maintaining the highest standards of housekeeping, cleanliness, and personal hygiene within the department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pack products to the highest quality standard, compliant with regulatory requirements and GMP guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Packing batch documents.
  • Attend and participate in in-house training or on-the-job training to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Operate machinery and equipment efficiently and safely, reporting any issues or errors to the Line Lead, Packing Specialist, or Shift Manager.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to Dechra's high standards of housekeeping and personal hygiene.
  • Notify the Line Lead, Packing Specialist, or Shift Manager of any serious failures of safety or GMP that could affect staff safety or product quality.
  • Perform other reasonable tasks as assigned by senior staff members.

Requirements

  • Good knowledge of Health and Safety Compliance.
  • Ability to manage time and workload effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with peers and other departments.
  • Experience in a low-to-medium manufacturing environment, with demonstrable ability in batch manufacturing.
  • Previous experience in a Pharma environment is desirable but not required.
  • Understanding of QMS – CAPAs, CC, NCR, etc., and proven industry experience from a regulated GMP manufacturing environment would be beneficial.
