As the guardian of Ogier's data privacy, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our approach to data security and establishing robust policies and procedures. Your expertise will guide our teams in navigating the complexities of data protection laws and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive data protection policies and procedures aligned with relevant legal frameworks.
  • Conduct thorough data protection audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory authorities on all matters pertaining to data protection.
  • Provide expert guidance to senior management and departments on data processing activities, security practices, and legal requirements.
  • Collaborate with external legal advisors to address complex data protection issues.
  • Design and deliver engaging data protection training programs for staff at all levels.
  • Manage and respond to internal and external data protection inquiries, including subject access requests.
  • Support the implementation of data protection-related projects across the organization.
  • Monitor and analyze changes in data protection laws and regulations, updating internal policies and procedures accordingly.
  • Work closely with IT, Risk, and Information Security teams to ensure effective technical and organizational data protection measures.
  • Oversee and manage data protection impact assessments for new and existing projects.
  • Maintain meticulous records of all data processing activities conducted by the company.
