Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Deputy Nursery Manager to join our team. As a Deputy Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for the daily operation of the pre-school in the absence of the Manager and will work closely with the Manager and staff to provide a dynamic and active learning environment for the children.

Key Responsibilities

  1. To assume responsibility for the daily operation of the pre-school in the absence of the Manager.
  2. To ensure that the setting is a safe and clean environment for children, staff, and others.
  3. To develop partnerships with parents/carers to increase involvement in their child's development.
  4. To work in close collaboration with the Manager, setting SENDCo, and the wider support team and outside agencies to ensure the continuing development and high standards of care and education in the setting.
  5. To assist the Manager and staff in providing a dynamic, active learning environment for the children on a day-to-day basis.
  6. To be responsible for the maintenance of records and the assessment and recording of development, progress, and attainment for every child.
  7. To be the Designated Safeguarding Lead for the setting, alongside the Manager.

Essential Criteria

  1. Minimum Level 3 Early Years Qualification.
