Overview:
The Tech Lead Manager will be responsible for building and managing the supply chain tech team in the US. This role involves developing international ecommerce supply chain technology, including warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation management systems (TMS), and inventory forecasting & planning. The focus is on creating efficient and optimal supply chain solutions and managing the software development lifecycle from design to delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Team Management: Build and manage the supply chain tech team in the US, including setting up team structure and morale.
- Technology Development: Develop and implement international ecommerce supply chain technologies, such as WMS, TMS, fulfillment network, and inventory forecasting & planning.
- Collaboration: Partner with product and operations teams to provide optimal supply chain solutions for domestic and international ecommerce.
- Lifecycle Management: Oversee the software development lifecycle from technical design to project delivery and ongoing maintenance.
- Roadmap Definition: Define a long-term technical roadmap for the team and break it down into actionable projects.
- Technical Contributions: Contribute to technical decisions on projects and ensure alignment with business needs.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
- Experience:
- 2 years of experience managing or tech-leading a software engineering team.
- 5 years of experience in large-scale system development with a proven track record.
- Skills:
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience with ecommerce supply chain technologies, including fulfillment centers, logistics, and supply chain technology, is a significant plus.
- Strong business acumen and data sensitivity are also advantageous.
