Job Title: Field Engineer, Field Engineering

Job Summary:

The Massachusetts Maritime Academy is seeking a highly skilled Field Engineer to join our team. As a Field Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting our marine operations, ensuring the safe and efficient execution of our services.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise and coordinate Over The Horizon (OTH) missions, ensuring seamless execution and timely completion.
  2. Manage and maintain ROVs, performing routine maintenance and repairs as needed.
  3. Collaborate with the operations, engineering, and logistics teams to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  4. Assist Test Engineers with software and hardware testing and evaluation, providing valuable insights and recommendations.
  5. Perform accurate note-taking and data logging, maintaining detailed records of all activities.
  6. Participate in the QA/QC process, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in a technical field, such as Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  2. Proven experience with electrical and mechanical systems, with a strong understanding of robotics and automation.
  3. Proficient in the safe and proper operation of basic electrical test equipment, electronics tools, and shop tools.
