JCA LONDON FASHION ACADEMY is seeking a passionate and skilled Fashion Design Instructor Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the education and development of aspiring fashion professionals.

As a Fashion Design Instructor Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our instructors and ensuring a high-quality learning experience for our students. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, from assisting with practical workshops to contributing to curriculum development.

Responsibilities
  • Provide hands-on assistance to instructors during fashion design workshops, guiding students through various techniques such as shoemaking, bag crafting, and garment construction.
  • Demonstrate sewing techniques, pattern making, and other relevant skills to students, ensuring clear understanding and effective learning.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of curriculum materials, aligning with industry standards and best practices.
  • Manage workshop equipment, materials, and resources efficiently, maintaining a well-organized and functional learning environment.
  • Supervise student projects, providing constructive feedback and guidance to ensure high-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail.
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to workshops and events, including scheduling, communication, and record keeping.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in fashion design techniques, including shoemaking, bag crafting, and garment construction.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively convey technical information to students.
  • A strong commitment to quality craftsmanship and attention to detail.
  • Patience and a supportive approach to guiding students in their creative development.
  • Relevant qualifications in fashion design or equivalent industry experience.
