In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in shaping and executing strategic initiatives to expand our global Data Center portfolio and related infrastructure. You'll be instrumental in identifying new opportunities, negotiating complex real estate transactions, and ensuring the successful delivery of cutting-edge data center projects.
As a Senior Site Acquisitions Manager, you will leverage your expertise in real estate development, business strategy, finance, and technical aspects to drive impactful results. You'll collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across various departments, including product teams, energy, fiber, design, construction, legal, and tax, to ensure seamless project execution.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the negotiation of real estate development transactions from inception to completion, encompassing strategy development, business term negotiation, and support throughout the legal process.
- Collaborate with the Site Acquisitions team to develop growth strategies for specific markets, identifying promising locations and evaluating potential opportunities.
- Execute on strategic plans by engaging with internal stakeholders and ensuring alignment across all departments involved in the project lifecycle.
- Understand the technical requirements of data center development and effectively communicate them to real estate partners and stakeholders.
- Manage complex negotiations, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for AWS while maintaining strong relationships with external parties.
We are seeking a highly qualified candidate with a proven track record in commercial real estate transactions.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional certification in Real Estate, Development, Management, or Urban Planning, or a related field.
- 8-10 years of experience in commercial real estate transaction management, preferably in industrial/office development and leasing or related fields.
- Demonstrated expertise in real estate transaction negotiation and development skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or Master's degree in Real Estate Development, Urban Planning, or a related field.
- Data center development experience.
- Experience with industrial real estate and land negotiations, particularly build-to-suit lease developments and land acquisition/development. International real estate experience in the EMEA region is a plus.
