Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Lead English Teacher to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning to students with SEMH needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the curriculum, taking into account the educational, physical, and social needs of students in a learning environment.
  • Collaborate with other staff members as part of a multi-disciplinary team to achieve academic and vocational goals.
  • Maintain and utilize short-, medium-, and long-term plans to deliver the curriculum effectively.
  • Set, monitor, and review personalized targets to optimize learning for each student.
  • Contribute to the review of Statements and EHC plans, PEP, and LAC reviews.
  • Provide clear structures for lessons, maintaining pace, motivation, and challenge.

Requirements:

  • Essential: PGCE, QTS, QTLS teaching qualification and evidence of in-service training.
  • To be able to teach from Entry level 2 & 3, Functional Skills Level 1 & 2, and GCSEs in English and one other subject to GCSE Level.

Working Conditions:

This role requires the ability to drive and access to a car, as the school is located in a remote area. Parking will be available on site.
