Job Summary:

Parkside Recruitment is seeking an experienced Airfreight Manager - Export to join our client's team. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for leading the export airfreight operations and ensuring the highest level of customer service and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to continuously grow customer service excellence and productivity effectiveness.
  • Implement Active Leadership to engage and grow all team members in the area of responsibility.
  • Retain and grow key accounts within the region, identifying areas of added value to the customer.
  • Lead customer reviews, identifying 'hot spots' and ensuring KPIs and continuous improvement programs are run in partnership with customers.
  • Manage and develop existing customer relationships internally and externally to ensure they are committed and opportunities for growth are leveraged.
  • Implement new key accounts to ensure successful outcomes for customers and the company.
  • Lead/participate in presentations to existing and potential customers.
  • Manage Customs Compliance procedures and documentation.
  • Maximize Gross Profit through Service Selection.
  • Manage Carriers and Handling Agents to resolve exceptions and discrepancies.
  • Maintain DfT and CAA compliance.
  • Manage Key Performance Indicators (Milestones, Station Metric, and GCCS).
  • Contribute to the First Choice continuous improvement program.
  • Manage Weekly Team briefing sessions.
  • Complete and manage all statutory and mandatory training.

Requirements:

  • Five or more years' leadership experience within the Freight Forwarding Industry.
  • Experience of Aviation Security & HMRC procedures.
  • Commercial awareness.
  • Clear and concise communication skills (written and spoken).
  • Process Management.
  • Ability to Lead a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Inter-personal skills - Influencing, communication, relationship management, cultural awareness, and ability to work across teams.
  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week.
  • Location: Hayes, Middlesex.
